Journal - Today you will be selecting a global issue topic to use in the next two units for this class. When you hear/read the words “global issue” what comes to mind? Elaborate and explain yourself.
When I hear/read the words "global issue" I think of a major problem that is affecting people, animals, or the environment all around the world. Global issues could include famine, poverty, drought, extinction of animals, or problems in governments. Global issues are problems that people work together to try and solve, and they can become very big issues if the people fail. Also, global issues do not always effect the whole world. They can be specific to one area, but well known to everyone.
