An infographic is used to show information about a topic in a more fun and interesting way. The pros of using them are that it is easier to grab the attention of the reader, there are a lot of graphics, and you can put information in it. The cons are that you can't include very much information, they have to be creative or else they are boring, and they take longer to make. It is easiest to display short facts and statistics in infographics because they are easy to write and show with pictures. Inforgraphics can help show your message to the reader because the theme of it can really express what you are tying to show. They can be used in other classes when you need to show statistics or if you have a research project that involves a lot of facts and statistics.
