Journal - What makes a good introduction paragraph to an essay or paper? Hint - review the 6 Trait Writing rubric for help.
I think a good introduction paragraph has something in it that grabs that audience's attention;such as, a fact, shocking statistic, or a quote. Having an attention grabber makes the reader want to read the paper. Also in the introduction there has to be a thesis. The thesis tells the reader what the paper is going to be about. It also tells them if this paper is relevant to them. Because if they know what is in the paper, than they will know if they want to read it or not.
